OUR PASTOR

Filled with the Holy Spirit in 1983, Mrs. Ruth Catlin grew in knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. In 1987, God opened a door for her to attend New Life Assembly of God Bible College. The only woman in her class, she graduated in 1989 with a Theology, Ministry Arts degree. Following her desire to work in outreach, she prayed for a door to open to serve her community.

For nearly three decades, Senior Pastor Ruth Catlin has served. Her tenacity, leadership, perseverance, and integrity serve as a testimony of what God can do through you when you lay down your life for Him, as she has surely done.

Luke 4:18-19

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath annointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, and recovering of site to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

OUR CHURCH

In 1991, God gave Mrs. Ruth Catlin a vision for an outreach ministry to feed the hungry, clothed the naked, heal the sick and brokenhearted, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Gospel Christian Center was born. It was first opened in a storefront in downtown Marysville, but God drew her to an old country and western bar that had long closedd its doors. Only God could have resurrected the building to become a house of prayer - and He did. With only a faithful few members, God blessed the ministry to purchase the land and repurpose the building.

It's a place not just to receive...it's a place to come and give. Doing outreach minstry is one of the best ways on the road to healing for people who have issues in their lives.
